The Mental HealthAssociation (MHA) is hiring Outreach Workers to support individuals withdevelopmental and intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, mentalhealth challenges, and substance use disorders.   • No sitting at a desk all day! You’ll be out and about in thecommunity, assisting participants with grocery shopping, errands, andhousing needs. Flexible Work Within a Set Schedule

  • Help individuals find safe housing, developindependent living skills, and live fulfilling lives in the community.

What You’ll Do Assist participants in finding and maintaining housing,working with landlords, and ensuring stable living conditions. Teach andmodel essential independent living skills like budgeting, cooking,cleaning, and socializing. Provide reliable transportation toappointments, errands, and community activities. Work with healthcareproviders, Social Security offices, and other community resources tosupport participant needs. Respond to emergencies, ensuring participantsafety and well-being.

Schedule Typical shifts:

11:00 AM

  • 7:00 PM OR11:30 AM
  • 7:30 PM Days off: Friday/Saturday OR Sunday/Monday (dependenton assigned caseload) Requirements A valid driver’s license, automobileinsurance, and a safe, reliable vehicle.

A compassionate, patient, andadaptable individual who enjoys working independently. Strongcommunication, time management, and organizational skills. Ability topass CPR and first aid certification (training provided). Ability topass a background/CORI check.

High school diploma or equivalentpreferred; six months of experience in human services is a plus!
