Summary The Recreational Aide will be responsible for assisting the Recreations department with activity programs. Tasks include assisting residents in activities, delivering food to residents, participating in trips and other resident related activities under the direction of the Activities manager and PCA coordinator. A Recreational Aide should be able to assist in devising engaging and enjoyable activities. An outstanding Recreational Aide should have a lot of patience, a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with people of all ages. Responsibilities
- Assisting in activity programs under the supervision of the Activities manager
- Setting up activity equipment such as tables, instruments, electronics, etc.
- Maintaining and cleaning recreation equipment and facilities
- Assisting in conducting sports, games, and events
- Assisting residents during activities
- Performing administrative tasks such as filling out paperwork and answering telephones.
- Ensuring resident’s safety
- Delivery food to resident rooms at specific times
- Welcomes residents to events
- Notifies residents of activity schedules and requirements
- Monitors spectators and participants at events to ensure orderly conduct.
- Receives, stores, and issues equipment and supplies.
- Keeps attendance records at resident events and monitors activities during recreational trips or tours.
