POSITION

If so, Blair County Children, Youth & Families would like you to join our dynamic team as a County Social Services Aide 1. This position provides families with supportive services such as visitation, transportation, and other services that may help address and reduce allegations of abuse and neglect within the family. OF WORK
As a Social Services Aide 1, you will receive requests from caseworkers to initiate visitation or reunification services. Work begins with contacting all parties involved in the case to establish a suitable time, place, and length of child and family visit. You will have the opportunity to work with families on goal setting, budgeting, homes safety housekeeping, health and wellness, and time management. Ensuring children are living in a safe environment is the goal. Following family interactions, you will be expected to accuratelyplete contact reports.
Other duties to include but not limited to:
Meeting the transportation needs of families in and out of the county
Assisting in coordinating items donated to the agency
ing agencies and assisting in making referrals to relatedmunity programs
Supervising children during hearings and family meetings
Conducting drug testing of clients
Attending meetings, training, seminars, and conferences as required
Work Schedule and Information:
Full-time Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalentbination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of will require a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Finger clearance.
