Social Services Administrative Assistant Samaritan Place•Catholic Charities of East Tennessee 3009 Lake Brook Boulevard, Knoxville, TN 37909 Join Our Team and Make a Difference! The Samaritan Place Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program Leader with administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant provides transportation and advocacy as needed for individual clients. This position reports to the Program Leader and has no supervisory responsibilities. The Samaritan Place program is focused on providing support and resources to seniors in a housing crisis. Samaritan Place offers a range of services, including emergency and transitional housing, meals, transportation, and case management services. The program aims to help individuals achieve stability and self-sufficiency by addressing immediate needs and providing pathways to permanent housing.
Pay Rate:
$16.00 per hour

Life Insurance Job Responsibilities:
Greet clients, suppliers, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner Check phone messages daily, return calls, complete and document telephone screenings, and schedule assessments Set up new client charts and close discharged client charts Conduct new client facility orientation and coordinate client-lead welcome committee Manage and make requests for needed client file information from referral resources Schedule medical appointments Provide transportation to and from appointments Ensure processes are documented Provide religious-based counseling, as required Ensure clients are present and ready for all daily activities Assist with individual group activities Be prepared and respond to emergency situations as dictated by policy Be aware of, and follow, all program policies and procedures Assist with meals, snacks, and special occasions, as needed Create and maintain food inventory system for purchased and donated goods Maintain required Second Harvest records, as needed Must maintain Safe Food Handling certification from Second Harvest Greet volunteers in a professional and friendly manner Answer e-mails in a timely and efficient manner Develop and maintain volunteer spreadsheet and distribution list
Job Requirements:
Must be able to move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Must hold a valid driver license with an F-endorsement Must be flexible and able to work occasional alternate shifts including weekends, weekdays, and holidays Must pass all required screenings Must attend all staff trainings and meetings Must support the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody our organization’s mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions Must maintain any training and certification requirements Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
Job Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent is required 1-3 years of experience within a social service agency is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail oriented Experience with
