The Child Welfare Services Administrator provides leadership to Social Services unit supervisors and ensures that the mission and goals of the program are executed by the agency within the community.

Pay Grade:
MManages the administration of policies and programs designed to protect and protect children and families. Ensures mandated services with priority of child safety and service provision to children and families. Directs subordinate supervisors and staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achievedAssures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirementsBuilds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within unit(s) and with other agencies and providersCreates and maintains positive working relationships within the community and on the county DFCS BoardDevelops and administers budgetsFacilitates communication within the unit(s)/agency on a specific case level as well as on a procedure/policy levelInterviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges social services employeesLeads and administers a comprehensive system of public assistance, employability, and social servicesManages human resources and directs administrative activities for groups of social services employeesPlans, administers, and maintains the operation of social services programsReviews new and current programs to determine their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with state, local and federal regulations
