Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IDD Director to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our group home for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The IDD Director will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and overall program excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:

Oversee all daily operations of the group home to ensure safety, quality care, and compliance with Georgia DBHDD and Medicaid waiver regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor individual support plans (ISPs) and ensure services align with person-centered practices.

Staffing & Supervision:

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development. Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of each resident.

Regulatory Compliance:

Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements, including licensing, documentation, and incident reporting. Ensure all staff are trained in CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and behavior support protocols.

Client Advocacy & Care Coordination:

Advocate for the needs of residents and facilitate communication between residents, families, case managers, and community providers. Monitor health and behavioral services, and ensure coordination with medical professionals and service providers.

Administrative Duties:

Manage budgets, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare reports for internal use and regulatory agencies. Conduct quality assurance checks and participate in audits and inspections.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with IDD, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or administrative role. Knowledge of Georgia DBHDD policies, waiver programs, and licensing requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage crisis situations and provide effective support to staff and residents.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Therap or other electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience with behavior support planning and Medicaid billing. CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
