DHS-Social Service Mgr W/P Service Area 4A Position Available In Rankin, Mississippi

This Position is for a Social Service Manager, Wellbeing/Permanency Service Area 4A, with a state agency location Statewide.

Service Area 4A (Pontotoc, Calhoun, Clay and Chickasaw).Examples of work performed in this classification include, but are not limited to, the following: Recruits and interviews candidates for professional, paraprofessional, and administrative support positions. Employs staff according to standards of the agency and policies of the organization. Supervises a staff of professional workers in the child welfare department of the State’s regions. Participates in departmental and interdepartmental staff conferences and serves as program participant in community meetings. Maintains regional plans and reports, oversees workloads, and analyzes data in order to make data-driven decisions for the region. Collaborates and consults with the state office director and departmental directors to determine the quality and quantity of social service necessary for the region. Consults with public and private agency administrators and designated departmental heads in determining policies and procedures which affect collaborative services. Plans, prepares, and justifies budgets for the region in collaboration with state office. Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

 Must have Social Work License in Mississippi, Bachelor Degree and 7 years of related work experience. Also, can have Masters Level Social Work License and 5 years of related work experience or Master’s Degree, License Social Work License and 6 years of work related experience.
