Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is for the management and overall supervision of the agencysservices division which incorporates all the professional social work services within the department.

This position assures that all social work services are provided in accordance with programmatic policiesof the federal, state, and county governments, as well as the policies approved by the ConsolidatedHuman Services Board. This position is responsible for insuring the overall quality of the delivery ofprofessional social work services.

This position is responsible for the supervision of a team of seven social workers to include a social worksupervisor.

  • Minimum Education and Experience
  • :

Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work and three years of social work or counselingexperience, two of which was in a supervisory capacity;or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of social work and four years of social work orcounseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity;or a master’s degree in a counseling field and four years of social work or counseling experience, two ofwhich were in a supervisory capacity;or a four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hoursin courses related to social work or counseling and five years of social work or counseling experience,two of which were in a supervisory capacity;or graduation from a four-year college or university and six years of experience in rehabilitationcounseling, pastoral counseling, or a related human services field providing experience in techniques ofcasework, group work, or community organization, two of which were in a supervisory capacity;or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
