$116K – $176K a year 17 hours ago Qualifications 7 years Management Master’s degree Bachelor’s degree Senior level Full Job Description Summary Under the direction of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Patient and Family Services Director will be responsible for the operation and management of Hospitality Services, Volunteer Services, Therapeutic Arts and Holistic Services, Spiritual Care Services, Recreational Therapy and Gift Shops across the Hospital campuses. The Director will plan, organize and oversee all strategies and activities of the Departments and their programs to advance the Concord Hospital Mission and Vision in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. The Director will supervise the Hospitality Services Manager, the Volunteer Services Managers, the Chaplain, the Patient & Family Services Administrative Assistant, the Therapeutic Arts & Holistic Services Coordinator, the Recreational Activity Therapist, and the Gift Shop Managers. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred. Seven years of related experience, including staff management experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification, Registration, and Licensure Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) preferred, but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops policies and procedures relating to Hospitality Services, Volunteer Services, Therapeutic Arts and Holistic Services, Recreational/Activity Therapy, Spiritual Care Services, Gift Shop and their operations. Oversees the activities of Hospitality Services, Volunteer Services, Therapeutic Arts and Holistic Services, Spiritual Care Services, Recreational/Activity Therapy, and the Gift Shop, maintaining current services, creating new initiatives and establishing annual performance goals for each. Supervises staff in the Departments, including but not limited to, Hospitality Services Manager, Volunteer Services Managers, Therapeutic Arts and Holistic Services, Chaplain, Recreational/Activity Therapy, Gift Shop Manager and the Administrative Assistant, in accordance with Concord Hospital practice and policy. Ensures all programs and activities are in alignment with Concord Hospital policies and work instructions for supervisory departments across the system. Engages in volunteer recruitment, placement, training and supervision as necessary. Oversees the recording, tracking and reporting for all volunteer personnel, utilizing an electronic system to maintain records. Assures that all regulatory requirements relative to volunteer recruitment, placement and management are met and that the program reflects best practices. Assures that all regulatory requirements relative to HIPAA are met and that all programs reflect best practices. Establishes, oversees and adheres to annual financial budget for both direct expenses and staffing. Serves as a relationship manager, both internally and in the community, to develop positive reputation for the volunteer, hospitality, therapeutic arts and holistic services, gift shop, recreational, and spiritual care programs and overall image on behalf of Concord Hospital. Supports the highest level of customer and volunteer satisfaction by assuring the resources to meet needs and consistent recognition, conducting annual customer and volunteer surveys to gather data. Participates in meetings and serves on committees as needed to support the needs of the organization. Participates in Community Affairs Division-wide activities and initiatives.
