Duties:

“`

  • Responsible for the development, administration, and operation of residential facilities. Meets with the management team on a regular basis to foster communication, share information and identify program needs.
  • Conducts routine monitorship of all residential facilities to ensure compliance with required Federal, State and Local standards and regulations and to ensure quality assurance.
  • Operates within the approved budget makes reductions when necessary.
  • Provides training to residential program staff to meet identified needs or upon request.
  • Responsible for hiring and training competent residential staff, while ensuring an adequate staffing pool is available. Conducts regularly scheduled, comprehensive, monthly staff meetings. Ensures all residential programs are adequately staffed.
  • Establishes a consistent staffing schedule for all residential programs.
  • Routinely evaluates staffing patterns to insure safe staffing ratios. Reduces or increases staff hours or positions with the approval of the Executive Director.
  • Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of assigned staff. Meets with staff formally or informally on a regular basis. Reviews paperwork for quality control.
  • Advises the Executive Director relative to the development and/or revision of policies and procedures that are pertinent to residential services.
  • Reviews and analyzes budgets and other financial reports from a programmatic standpoint to insure appropriate expenditure of funds. Makes recommendations relative to budget changes, increases/decreases to meet program needs. Authorizes purchases of major equipment and supplies for the residential program.
  • Ensures the timely filling of bed vacancies to prevent loss of funding and involves all affected programs in the decision-making process.
  • Assists with the timely reporting of Critical Incidents; Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation allegations; and Death.
  • Evaluates placements to assure the individual is receiving adequate support in a healthy and safe environment.
  • Represents the agency in the community through community/civic efforts, presentations, and involvement.
  • Willingness to go beyond assigned areas, when necessary, to insure for the health and safety of persons served, staff and the community.
  • Performs all other duties as related to this position.

Qualifications:

“`

  • Four (4) year degree in Human Services with at least five (5) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or related disabilities, three (3) years in a program management capacity with emphasis in service development, management, personnel supervision, service planning and program evaluation. CRCF Administrator’s License is strongly desired.
  • A demonstrated commitment to serve people with disabilities and special needs.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Must pass criminal background check-Must have a valid SC Driver’s License with good driving record and must be bondable
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care, medication administration, and working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with resident rights and regulatory requirements for assisted living facilities
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
