POSITION SUMMARY
The Volunteer Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director and supports the organization by recruiting, training, and engaging a diverse and active corps of volunteers.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteer Coordination:
Recruits and trains volunteers for SBSC programs, special events and service projects; works with agency staff to coordinate volunteer placements and requests for volunteers. Identifies skills and labor needed to support SBSC programs. Develop work schedules and coordinate project assignments ensuring skills are appropriately used. Assist with promotional programs with the intent of generating volunteer involvement. Maintain updated volunteer job descriptions for all SBSC programs and the volunteer database and information systems. Coordinate volunteer recognition throughout the year and annually. Conduct periodic volunteer satisfaction surveys. Conduct exit interviews when volunteers exit their volunteer assignment. Keep up-to-date records on all volunteers.

Executive Director Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, experience with face to face interaction with sensitive populations, exceptional communication and organizational skills, knowledge of the community, and experience managing others. Background Check required. Must have valid FL Driver’s License and own vehicle.
