JOB SUMMARY:
The Recovery Specialist functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team with the primary responsibility of monitoring consumer behavior while on the unit, developing treatment plans, discharge planning, and other responsibilities needed to assist consumers in transitioning back to themunity following admission to the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Maintains a direct services caseload as assigned and provides aprehensive range of clinical/case management services to maximize potential for consumer recovery.
Assesses consumers on assigned caseload through face-to-face interventions on a daily basis to identify presenting and emergent issues and service needs.
Develops treatment plans for consumers on caseload within twenty-four (24) hours of admission that address identified treatment issues as identified in emergency evaluations, psychiatric evaluations and face-to-face interventions with those consumers.
Develops discharge plans on behalf of consumers on assigned caseload that address identified consumer needs and links consumers tomunity resources/services as appropriate and necessary. Documents direct services to consumers in the electronic medical record known as TIER timely, accurately andprehensively. Participates in treatment team meetings as scheduled and provides salient information to the team on behalf of assigned consumers thatmunicates treatment progress, forecasts future course of treatment and facilitates discharge planning.
Initiates andpletes all required legal paperwork inpliance with Florida Statute 394,monly referred to as the Baker Act. Ensures continuity of care for assigned consumers by scheduling inter-program case staffings (IPCS) to plan and coordinate withmunity outpatient service providers as necessary and appropriate.
Conducts psycho-educational groups with consumers as assigned by the Lead Recovery Specialist to ensure Recovery Team group service provision as scheduled in the context of the Hospital Master Schedule.
Attends all meetings as assigned by the Lead Recovery Specialist and/or the Director of Acute Care Services, or otherwise by LifeStream
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other behavioral healthcare/human services-related field preferred orparable experience.
Experience:
o Minimum of One (1) year of experience in a behavioral healthcare/human services-related setting
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional trainings/ certifications. Level II Background Clearance
