Program Director ________________________________________ Job Summary Magic Touch Cares seeks a dynamic Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, and manage volunteers for our intergenerational programs (Harvesting Connections Community Garden and Stride Together Walking Club). This hybrid role requires local travel to program sites, retirement communities, and schools to build partnerships and oversee volunteer activities. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement o Recruit seniors (65+) and high school students via outreach to schools, retirement communities, and online platforms. o Organize volunteer orientations and training sessions (virtual and in-person). 2. Scheduling & Coordination o Maintain a volunteer calendar for garden cleanups, walking clubs, and outreach events. o Match volunteers’ skills/interests with program needs (e.g., gardening mentors, walk leaders). 3. Community Partnerships o Liaise with local schools, senior centers, and businesses to expand volunteer networks. o Coordinate transportation assistance for elderly volunteers as needed. 4. Safety & Compliance o Conduct background checks for volunteers (via approved nonprofit vendor). o Ensure safety protocols are followed at all programs. 5.
