This position serves as the initial contact for individuals entering the Emergency Services department. The professional and compassionate treatment of all individuals served is of the utmost importance. Attention to safety is vital at all times. Intake Specialists operate as part of team and communicate in a clear, calm and positive manner with all stakeholders. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of clerical or direct care experience in a health/human services field; or an AA/AS degree in a human services field; or completion of the equivalent of 60 semester/credit hours towards a BA/BS degree in a human services field. Requires knowledge of electronic medical records software. Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of clerical or direct care experience in a health/human services filed; or an AA/AS degree in a human services field; or completion of the equivalent of 60 semester/credit hours towards a BA/BS degree in a human services field. Demonstrated leadership experience preferred. Requires knowledge of electronic medical records software programs. Must be able to attain competency with company electronic health record and use it effectively within required timeframes.
