Job Description Representative Duties/Assignments Maintains updated contact information for active CERT volunteers. Instruct the CERT Basic Course and other advanced training courses. Coordinates course development. Designs and creates publicity materials. Staffs various division programs, activities, and emergency preparedness events. Maintains inventory of all CERT related training equipment. Performs other related work as required. Coordinate volunteers while activated in Emergency Operation Center Respond to email and telephone requests for CERT training course. Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Introduction to Community Emergency Response Team (CERTs). Required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license. Preferences Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course completion preferred but not required but required within one year of hire. Successfully complete the online FEMA Independent Study Courses IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 within 30 days of hire. Successfully complete the CERT Train-the-Trainer Course, E428 or G 428 within one year of hire
