Foster and Volunteer Coordinator 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars 1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd, Danielsville, GA 30633 Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit animal shelter looking for compassionate and hardworking person with a passion for animals. We are in need of an upbeat and positive employee to help recruit volunteers and foster homes for pets, as well as run shelter events. This position will need to be able to communicate with the public in a professional manner, as well as multi-task and have strong attention to detail. The right candidate will have computer knowledge, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and at least 1 year of animal experience.

Coordinator Duties, and Responsibilities:

Keep all documents up to date and ready for GDA inspection. Work to get animals out to foster when we are nearing capacity, and proactively work to move animals to foster homes. Keep fosters scheduled for treatments and up to date on vaccines, boosters and prevention, etc. Preemptively schedule spay/neuter for animals going to foster. Spearhead rescue transport partnership, keeping animals updated in our folders with accurate information, and marking unavailable once selected. Coordinate transport volunteer drivers. Help prepare health certificates for animals going on transports. Coordinate our barn cat program with our local rescue groups. Back up the receptionist as needed.
