$37.5K – $50.6K a year 1 day ago Qualifications 5 years Social work High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Senior level Full Job Description PRN (As needed) Resident Support Specialist at Sanctuary for Life Family Services at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking an as needed Resident Support Specialist to help oversee the daily operations and supervision of Sanctuary for Life (SFL) Maternity Home and St. Patrick’s Transitional Housing (SPH) Program. Resident Support Specialists coordinate all services provided to the residents of SFL and SPH including case management, education, employment services, medical care, transportation, basic needs, and community resources with oversight from the Housing Programs Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma (or equivalent) 5 years demonstrated relevant experience in social services Ability to work effectively in a time sensitive, confidential environment Have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance Approval and satisfactory clearance of background checks such as driving record, criminal record, and sex offense registry, state and local police records, or national sources such as FBI and E-Verify as required by funding agencies or determined necessary by Catholic Charities. Compliance with Diocesan Child and Youth Protection Policies is also required.

Ability to represent Catholic Charities to the public in a professional and appropriate manner Must be responsible, organized, caring, and able to enforce rules in a fair and just manner Demonstrates knowledge of the department and sensitivity to the needs and interests of the individuals served Good sense of direction and ability to get in and out of vehicles.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, speaking, reading, writing, typing, and seeing indoors. Must be able to walk up/down stairs, lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to transport clients to medical and employment appointments.
