GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of a departmental supervisor, performs responsible supervisory and administrative work in assisting the public through social service programs. Work involves supervision of professional, sub-professional, and clerical support staff. Work also involves the development, organization, and administration of a very large complex social service program designed to disseminate information on available social services, provide technical assistance and guidance to clients, and deliver various social services. Work is reviewed through personal conferences, written reports, and for results obtained. Performs other work as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in social service, psychology, behavioral science, or a closely related field, and four years of progressively responsible experience in social services, including three years of supervisory experience.
