CENTRAL LOUISIANA HUMAN SERVICES DISTRICT
CLHSD oversees delivery of mental health, substance use and intellectual and developmental disability services in our 8-parish area: Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon and Winn.
This position serves the Central Louisiana Human Services District, (CLHSD), and Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as outlined by a grant obtained by DCFS. This position is part-time unclassified WAE position that will work approximately twenty (20) hours a week.
Central Louisiana Human Services District is a State as a Model Employer (SAME) agency.
Minimum Qualifications :
Certifications or licensure, including without limitation, peer support specialist certification, to be available to the Department of Children and Family Services in Rapides Parish to provide support.
Job Specification :
To provide support, education, and referrals to services including residential inpatient treatment, detox, medication assisted treatment and outpatient treatment for opioid use.
Level of Work:
Experienced.
Supervision Received:
Social Worker 5-B.
Supervision Exercised:
None.
Location of Work:
Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in the State Office Building, Alexandria, La.
Job Duties and Other Information:
Job Duties:
To assist DCFS liaison with clients presenting for addiction assessments and services.
Will provide support including information on recovery meetings and one on one peer engagement for up to one year after making contact.
