Eliot is seeking an experienced Housing Specialist to join one of our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) teams.
Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) provides clinically focused evidenced based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Services are person centered and are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in either residential or community based settings.
The ideal candidate will build and maintain effective partnerships with local landlords, housing authorities, housing advocates, and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) to support individuals in securing stable housing. This role requires a deep understanding of housing resources and the ability to guide individuals through complex housing processes with empathy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, housing advocates, and DMH to support individuals in securing housing
Educate agency staff on housing subsidies, entitlements, and available housing opportunities
Track and manage all housing subsidies, including public and contract-based rental assistance
Assist teams and individuals in obtaining state and federal housing subsidies and navigating the application process
Support housing searches and ensure services are culturally and linguistically appropriate to meet individual needs
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
Experience working in a residential setting with adults experiencing severe mental illness Valid Massachusetts drivers license
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
Annual Salary
$48,318.40
