Housing Manager Job Objectives:
Oversee Invisible Children’s Project (ICP) and Supported Housing Program (SHP) and provide case management services to families and individuals enrolled in these programs. Additionally, prioritize collaboration with all MHA programs along with programmatic collaboration, and communication regarding rental opportunities, landlord concerns, coordinated entry referrals and other related matters. Perform duties while actively promoting an environment consistent with MHA’s Cultural Equity Policy.
Responsibilities:
Identify and provide case management services to the families enrolled in Invisible Children’s Project and to individuals enrolled in the Supported Housing Program. Directly supervise the Supported Housing Case Managers and ICP/Supported Housing Program Case Manager. Responsible for program management and development of the following programs: Case Management HUD Continuum of Care programs (replacing shelter + care) Respite Parent Group Children’s Art Group Flexible Service Funds Responsible for completing required data collection, statistical reports, billing and monthly program reports. Coordinate and/or provide 24-hour on-call crisis intervention information and referral services to families. Establish and maintain linkages with community agencies and service providers. Facilitate development of peer support networks program advisory counsel and parenting education classes. Coordinate client referral, admission and discharge process. Maintain client files according to policies and procedures for program, OMH and HUD regulations. Assist in developing and monitoring program policies and procedures. Explore and develop new concepts and program designs. Report any identifiable instances of child abuse and/or neglect to supervisor and authorities. Act as liaison between MHA, community landlords, providers and clients. Represent MHA at meetings such as SPOA and Coordinated Entry bi-weekly meetings. Develop, coordinate and provide required training for staff. Identify and provide case management services for individuals enrolled in program. Maintain a small caseload of clients on a monthly basis.

Participate in MHA’s committees. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field. 2 years experience in human services field. Or Associate degree in related Field and 4 years’ experience in human services field. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Effective written and oral communication skills. Must be organized, self-motivated and have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to exercise sound judgment under crisis situations and to abide by regulations regarding confidentiality. Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to drive with current driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage.
Terms of employment/benefits:
