The primary duty of Housing Specialist is to provide competent, compassionate coaching to clients experiencing a housing crisis so that they resolve their housing crisis and prevent homelessness. Enjoy a team-oriented role that works collaboratively with Bucks County Housing Link staff. This is a Full-Time position based out of Bristol, PA. Job Duties ~ Maintain a housing first perspective with a sense of urgency. Assist clients in creating and working to meet goals to ensure housing stability. Provide training to clients on how to identify appropriate housing opportunities. Engage with and recruit landlords willing to work with individuals/families who are at risk of homelessness. Assist clients in stabilizing their housing crises through mediation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Administer financial assistance and/or provide referrals to appropriate community services. Receive referrals and ensure that clients experiencing a housing crisis receive quality, compassionate services. Empower clients to weigh and consider options, advocate for their own needs, and act on their own behalf. Maintain complete, accurate and timely case records, including HMIS data entry. Meet regularly with supervisor and Bucks County Housing Link staff to review client progress as well as to report on client outcomes. Maintain positive working relationships with non-profit partners, social service agencies, funders, and local government offices. Qualifications ~

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university; or one to two years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer proficiency – intermediate in HMIS, Microsoft Office and database experience.
  • Exceptional flexibility, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Full-time Pay:

$41,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
