With our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at: Greater Greenville Mental Health Center•Simpsonville Clinic

Provides direct services through coaching mentoring and consultation to the patient to promote recovery, self-advocacy and self-direction. Promotes wellness management strategies, which include delivering manualized interventions, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) or Illness Management and Recovery. Assists patients in developing Psychiatric Advanced Directives. Models recovery values, attitudes, beliefs and personal action to encourage wellness and resilience.
Maintains medical records documentation standards with QA, DMH and CARF policies and procedures. Documents services collaboratively with the patient as appropriate.
Provides consultation to treatment team members to assist in understanding recovery and the role of the CPSS, promoting a culture in which patients’ points of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment. Will maintain a working knowledge of current trends and developments in the areas of mental health through relevant materials and through continuing education when offered by the Office of Human Affairs and SCDMH.
Develops and maintains a Consumer Advisory Board for GGMHC with representation from all Adult Programs. Actively supports all Corporate Compliance efforts of the Center. Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) Certification.
