Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides comprehensivepsycho-social services to Health Plan members and their familiespresenting to the Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP/CDS).Utilizes established therapeutic techniques in interviewing,assessing and treating psycho-social problems as they relate tochemical dependencies and addictions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Interviews patients and related sources to identify extent andeffects of chemical dependency, in order to arrive at a treatmentplan.
- With approval from the supervisor, utilizing closesupervision and commensurate with skills and training, providesindividual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and HIV riskassessment and counseling as related to chemical dependency.
- Participates in team discussions related to appropriate treatmentplans for patients and their families.
- Confers with staffphysician and clinical supervisor regarding patients progress andtreatment.
- Prepares psycho-social assessments, case summaries andmaintains ongoing confidential records.
- Utilizes resources ofpublic and private agencies and community organizations to meet theneeds of patients.
- Confers with representatives of otherdepartments and private agencies to resolve problems and to developand maintain public understanding and sound working relationships
- Participates in training programs and workshops for continuedprofessional growth in general counseling skills, as well asspecialized treatment in addiction medicine.
- Maintains ethicaland professional standards of conduct.

- CADC 2 position at AMRS, San Franciscoproviding individual and group treatment at 939 Ellis Street in SanFrancisco for outpatient partial hospitalization services
BasicQualifications:
Experience
- Minimum of five years paid experienceunder licensed supervision.
- If in chemical dependency recovery, aminimum of three years continuous sobriety is required. Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. License,Certification, Registration
- Alcohol/Other Drug Counselor
- Clinical Supervisor Certification (California) OR Alcohol & DrugAbuse Counselor Certificate (California) OR Licensed AdvancedAlcohol & Drug Counselor (California)
Additional Requirements:
- Ongoing employment in the
CDRP/CDS
is contingent on continuoussobriety.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnershipenvironment.
- Must be able to work in a multidisciplinaryenvironment.
- Must have basic computer skills.
