JOB PURPOSE

To provide therapeutic services in accordance with the mission statement of the Advocate Program through either individual or group counseling that will assist the client in meeting goals and achieve positive outcomes from treatment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree (human Services)
OR CAS, CAAP
  • Prior experience in substance abuse counseling or rehabilitation is required
  • Ability to conduct groups effectively
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to conduct client assessments effectively
  • Skills in crisis management
  • Familiarity with coding for documentation purposes
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct client enrollment, assessments & scheduling
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions
  • Group Notes
  • Case management
  • Writing and submitting assessment reports with recommendations and diagnosis
  • Incorporate addiction counseling into treatment strategies
  • Other miscellaneous duties assigned by Clinical supervisor
