Substance Abuse Counselor
- Part Time Front Porch Recovery Center 302 Rice Hope Plantation Road, Savannah, GA 31407 We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part Time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our healthcare team.
This position is currently for weekends only. You must have hands on, related experience. The ideal candidate will provide supportive counseling services to individuals struggling with addiction, guiding them towards a healthier and more fulfilling life. Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct case management and coordinate patient services, including referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment.

Qualifications:
- Active status of at least one of the following certifications: CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T or CCIT or willing to get CIT certification is preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation. Clean driving record, as you may need to transport clients (in provided vehicles) Must pass a Criminal Background Check and drug screen
