Behavioral health Full Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our opiate addiction treatment center located in the Doraville/Tucker area. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC or CADC) or actively pursuing certification.

• Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a substance abuse counselor, providing both individual and/or group counseling.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 1 PM, with every other Thursday off.
• Experience working in addiction treatment, with a preference for those familiar with fast-paced, team-based environments.

• Core Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive substance abuse counseling services.
• Manage intake admissions, discharges, and documentation.
• Fulfill human and social services tasks efficiently and responsibly.
• Ensure timely completion of session notes, treatment plans, and other essential documentation.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery, sobriety, life skills, and substance use disorders.
