Competitive | Based on Experience Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) to play a vital role in our mission to offer alternatives to incarceration for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. This role is ideal for a professional who is not only clinically competent but also understands the unique challenges faced by pretrial clients, including substance use, legal stress, housing insecurity, and mental health barriers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments, facilitating group and individual counseling sessions, and delivering psychoeducational programming such as DWI education and the MAPS (Marijuana Awareness Program for Substance Abuse). You will work closely with our case management team, local courts, attorneys, and probation officers to ensure clients receive support that is not only therapeutic but also in alignment with court requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct substance abuse and behavioral assessments for court-referred clients Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions as required Lead educational programs such as DWI classes and the MAPS program Collaborate with courts, probation officers, and attorneys to track client progress Create and maintain treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Comply with all documentation, confidentiality, and licensing regulations Support the mission of helping clients avoid incarceration through structured guidance Requirements Active Louisiana LCSW or LAC license in good standing Experience working with substance use disorders and justice-involved individuals Familiarity with DWI education, MAPS, and other court-referred programming preferred Ability to administer or interpret assessments such as SASSI is a plus Strong organizational and documentation skills Empathy, professionalism, and a client-focused mindset Must pass background check and drug screening

Qualifications:

Active Louisiana LCSW or LAC license in good standing Clinical experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or a related field Familiarity with court-mandated treatment, criminal justice populations, or pretrial diversion programs Strong knowledge of addiction theories, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based practices Experience conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting case progress Comfortable facilitating both individual and group counseling sessions Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with HIPAA and professional boards

Preferred:
