Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC or CADC) Healing Hearts LLC. 7 Prospect Street, Caribou, ME 04736

Duties:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for individuals struggling with substance abuse
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
• Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and psychotherapy to support clients in their recovery journey
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and determine appropriate treatment interventions
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and medical staff, and other entities, such as DEEP, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Stay current on developments in the field of substance abuse counseling through ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
• Valid licensure or certification as a substance abuse counselor (e.g., CADC, LADC)
• Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and evidence-based practices
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools such as the ICD-10
• Strong understanding of mental health counseling principles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
