Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) or Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) is required Summary
The Substance Use Counselor role provides assessment, consultation and care planning to inpatients.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Education appropriate for licensure required.

License/Certifications:

Active State Licensure for Substance Abuse Counseling or

LCPC/LCSW/CADC/LADC

with approved substance abuse CEU’s required. Must complete MANDT course within six months of start date.

Experience:

Recent experience in an acute Behavioral Health care setting preferred

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

Experience with clinical methods and techniques used in individual, family and group therapy related to mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
