The Ship Group Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) or LCAS-Associate (LCAS-A) to join our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) and/or Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) team. This role is designed for professionals who are committed to recovery-focused care and want to help clients build stability and avoid relapse. Services are delivered in a structured outpatient format and follow the

service definitions. Key Responsibilities Facilitate structured group therapy sessions

SAIOP:

3x/week, 3 hours/day

SACOT:

Up to 5x/week, 4 hours/day Provide individual counseling sessions for treatment progress and crisis support Complete and update Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) and Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) Administer and document urine drug screens as part of treatment monitoring Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention) Offer family psychoeducation and supportive counseling when needed Monitor and document treatment progress per Medicaid timelines and standards Coordinate care with internal and external team members (e.g., peer support, psychiatry, PCPs) Participate in weekly clinical team meetings and supervision sessions Required Qualifications Active LCAS or LCAS-A license in North Carolina (in good standing with NCSAPPB) Must meet the NC Medicaid definition of a Qualified Professional (QP) per 10A

NCAC 27G .0104

Master’s degree in a human services field + 1 year MH/SUD experience OR Bachelor’s in human services + 2 years MH/SUD experience OR Bachelor’s in non-human services + 4 years MH/SUD experience Preferred Qualifications Experience facilitating SAIOP or SACOT groups Familiarity with ASAM Criteria , Person-Centered Planning, and Medicaid documentation Experience treating co-occurring disorders Strong clinical documentation and treatment planning skills () is a plus Work Schedule & Expectations Group sessions held during daytime hours , 3-5 days/week depending on program track Timely documentation required within 24-48 hours of service Must attend weekly team meetings and supervision Some community-based flexibility for 1:1 services and coordination Compensation & Support Hourly rate: $35•45/hour , depending on license and experience Flexible, structured work environment Growth potential within a supportive, mission-driven agency Join Our Mission At The Ship Group, we are committed to recovery-oriented, culturally responsive care that empowers individuals to thrive.
