As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor , you will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help clients on their path to recovery. “`Duties“`

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ substance abuse history and mental health needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients’ unique needs and goals
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address underlying issues related to substance abuse
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to promote behavior change
• Assist clients in developing coping skills and relapse prevention strategies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed “`Experience“`
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Valid licensure or certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (e.g., CADC, LCADC)
• Experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorders
• Knowledge of various treatment modalities for substance abuse, including psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care
• Understanding of medical records management and compliance with ICD-9 coding
