The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing support and counseling to individuals dealing with substance use disorders and mental health challenges. This role requires a commitment to helping clients navigate their recovery journey through evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. Offer specialized care for clients with PTSD, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for healing. Document medical histories, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with ICD-9 standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within a hospital setting to coordinate comprehensive care for patients. Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies as appropriate to support client recovery goals. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in social work and counseling. Requirements Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is required. Proven experience in individual group counseling, particularly related to substance use disorders. Knowledge of PTSD care practices and the ability to apply therapeutic techniques effectively. Familiarity with patient assessment tools and medical documentation processes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and collaboration. A background in social work or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
