Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC/LCAS) D&A Assessment Services Wilmington, NC Job Details Part-time $15 – $25 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Addiction counseling Intake CADC Mid-level Motivational interviewing Discharge planning LCAS Communication skills Full Job Description We are looking for a compassionate professional to facilitate VIRTUAL outpatient DWI Related treatment groups. The successful candidate will be able to make independent decisions as well as collaborate effectively with other members of our team, and should enjoy being part of an innovative and growing company.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop treatment plan based on assessment outcome, including identify and rank problems in need of resolution, establish agreed upon immediate and long-term goals, and, decide on a treatment process and the resources to be utilized
  • Reporting and recordkeeping of all the results of the assessment and treatment plans; writing reports, progress notes, discharge summaries and other client-related data.
  • Counseling groups in achieving objectives through: exploration of a problem and its ramifications, examination of attitudes and feelings, consideration of alternative solutions, and, decision making. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing skills to make recommendations and evaluate outcomes of treatment or education.
  • Consultation with other professionals in regard to client treatment and services relating to our own and other professionals to assure comprehensive, quality care for the client. Solid understanding of state and local DWI statutes, mandates, and procedures.
  • Reviewing informed consent, guidelines, and fees
  • Conduct fee transactions for services provided
  • Provide support and referral services for clients whose needs cannot be met through the services provided by the agency.

Utilize community and systematic resources to support client’s needs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in-person and over the phone)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong empathy and active listening skills
  • Proficiency with Zoom strongly preferred
Licensure/Credentials/Education:
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) with the North Carolina Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)
  • Training in a position as a Substance Use Counselor, or related field. Preferred (but not required):
  • Certification and experience facilitating Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) courses and/or Outpatient Substance Use Treatment group courses (Responsible Decisions program)
  • Experience with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) e508 system
  • Experience with BestNotes CRM database
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:

$15.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

4 hour shift Evening shift Morning shift No weekends People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
