We are seeking a Certified Addiction Counselor to join our team in our Harrisburg, PA location supporting Dauphin County.

Starting rate of $34.57 hour + mileage reimbursementPosition DetailsWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Addiction Counselor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing individual and group therapy to consumers with co-occurring disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and wellness. The ideal candidate will have experience working in integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices to consumers with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Actively engage in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (ITT) process, including treatment plan development and revisions.

Lead staging interventions tailored to each individual’s stage of change.

Serve as a liaison between consumers and external treatment providers and natural supports.

Attend daily clinical team meetings, engaging in the team approach for decision-making and treatment follow-through.

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model supports individuals with serious mental illnesses who may not have experienced success or haven’t found effective support within traditional outpatient programs. We offer tailored services emphasizing relationship-building and active involvement in enhancing functioning and symptom management.

Services involve weekly home visits, provided either in individuals’ residences or within the community, utilizing personal vehicles for client transportation and community-based tasks.
