What You’ll Do:

As a Substance Abuse Counselor at Snug Harbor, you’ll play a pivotal role in the journey to recovery for our clients. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and lead engaging group therapy sessions. Your empathy, expertise, and commitment to excellence will guide individuals toward lasting sobriety and wellness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, LPC, LCSW, etc.) in the state of Pennsylvania; preferred but not required. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services in a substance abuse treatment setting. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
