Drug and Alcohol Counselor Position Available In Pike, Pennsylvania

Drug and Alcohol Counselor Malibu Wellness Ranch 351 Foster Hill Rd, Milford, PA 18337 Malibu Wellness Ranch is looking for an experienced Drug and Alcohol counselor. Applicants must have one-year drug and alcohol counseling experience. Duties and Responsibilities Manage a caseload of approximately 8 clients Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans Conduct individual and group therapy sessions Communicate with family members and significant others of clients to discuss treatment progress Facilitate clinical workshops, process groups, and psychoeducational lectures Correspond with referral sources, legal entities, and employers in order to meet client case management and continuum of care needs Complete documentation in specified timeframes such as Biopsychosocial Assessments. Case Consults, Comprehensive Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan Reviews, DAP progress notes, Group Notes, ASAMs, , Continuing Care Plans, and Discharge Summaries. Utilize various evidence-based treatment modalities, techniques, and principles associated with effective treatment outcomes Qualifications Skills and Knowledge Understand the disease model of chemical dependency Knowledge of co-occurring disorders Possess strong clinical skills and a strong knowledge base of substance use disorders Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate a commitment to high professional ethical standards Able to facilitate groups and speak effectively in public Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills Able to prioritize multiple work assignments Exercise good judgment and make sound decisions in emergency situations Ability to utilize an Electronic Medical Record for documentation. Adhere to Federal, State, and HIPAA confidentiality laws Education and Experience Meet at least one of the following groups of qualifications: Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related human services field and 1 year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. Associate Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. Working knowledge of Evidence Based Treatment Modalities.
