Substance Abuse Counselor Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

Substance Abuse Counselor Upstate Treatment Specialists 7092 Howard Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 Substance Abuse Counselor needed for an opiate treatment program (OTP) located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human services or behavioral science field, although master’s degree preferred. Experience in substance abuse counseling required. Certified Addictions Counselors (CAC), Licensed Addiction Counselors (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) is desired or in process of obtaining.

Duties include:

Management of a caseload of approximately 50 clients. Providing substance abuse counseling. Developing individual treatment plans. Providing crisis interventions, as needed. Providing referrals to outside agencies. Assisting in community outreach and community education for medication assisted treatment. Monday thru Friday Full-time (35 hours per week)
