will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling to patients as needed. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including the Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Case Manager, and VA Nurses, this role aims to identify and address the clinical needs of patients while supporting their overall well-being. Additionally, the counselor will assist with intakes for new veterans entering the program and contribute to outreach support initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting individual, group, and family counseling sessions tailored to meet patients’ needs. Collaborating with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients. Assisting in the intake process for new veterans entering the program, providing guidance and support. Contributing to outreach efforts aimed at engaging and supporting individuals in need.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Experience in substance abuse counseling or relevant clinical work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Compassion, empathy, and dedication to helping individuals in need.
