Description of Work •Position is eligible for a hybrid remote teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.•The Rehabilitation Regional Assistant Director assists the Rehabilitation Regional Director in managing vocational rehabilitation programs for clients crossing all disability types. Work includes assisting in the overall management functions of the Central region as delegated by the Regional Director. Position assesses and investigates casework problems and takes appropriate action to resolve. The two primary purposes of this particular position is to ensure quality rehabilitation services are being provided in a timely manner to individuals with disabilities and Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living services are being delivered across the Central region coverage area. This position directly supervises four Regional Specialist and one Administrative Support Position and also provides assistance to the Regional Director and other EIPD staff members.

Job responsibilities include the following:

Management of case service funds/expenditures and client services to ensure compliance with Federal, State and agency regulations. Personnel management throughout the region with Regional Director oversight. Assist local office managers/supervisors with addressing personnel issues and case management concerns. Aid in case management of Clients that need regional assistance. Knowledge of and demonstrated skill with administrative and management principles, vocational rehabilitation program evaluation, and fiscal planning and budgeting. Demonstrated skill in administering and coordinating major rehabilitation services within assigned areas of responsibility. Knowledge of conflict resolution. Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or Counseling from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of administrative or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation service program; OR
Current certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) and five years of administrative or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation service program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
