CAS Assessor – I/DD Adult Assessments 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars New York State • Hybrid work Seeking college graduates with 1+ years experience working with developmentally disabled adults. This is a hybrid position with both in person and telehealth assessments. CAS Assessors work with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD/DD). Responsibilities :
Schedule and coordinate assessment processes with individuals, families, and providers Conduct assessments using a person-centered approach at a location and time convenient for the individual Conduct interviews, verify information, and use multiple sources to finalize assessments Complete assessments using provided software Work from home when not conducting assessments
Requirements :
1+ year of post-degree experience working with adults with developmental disabilities (IDD/DD), including conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field Willingness to travel and accommodate varying schedules, including evenings and weekends Strong analytical and communication skills Proficiency in software applications (spreadsheets, databases, email, etc.) Valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS ID card Must reside in New York State This opportunity is ideal for professionals in social services or psychology who have experience with IDD/DD individuals and are comfortable with travel and flexible scheduling.
