After Care to join our team who enjoy working with children! Our Company is family owned, with over 30 years in the industry. We are one of the largest After Care and Camp providers in Broward County; with 4 locations in Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines and Weston. After Care Counselors are responsible for overall day to day group activities, behavior management, direct supervision and safety of the children in our program. This includes planning and implementing camp activities in accordance to both age and developmentally appropriate practices as outlined by licensing agencies and Lil’ Rascals Academy guidelines. Candidates must be athletic, self-motivated, creative, dependable, and possess good judgment. Must have the ability to handle all situations in a calm, professional manner. Job Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
- Completed DCF 45hr courses
- Must meet training requirements designated by the Department of Children and Families
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with School-Aged Children
- Ability to relate to children.
- Must attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
- Must have ability to plan and implement recreational and educational activities.
- Must be able to implement curriculum and provide instruction to participants at a basic level.
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a Level II Fingerprinting Background Screening.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Completed DCF 45hr Courses
- Active First Aid and CPR certification.
