– Youth Counselor 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 12233 SW 55th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33330 Provides support and counseling intervention to children (age 9-17) and their families. Facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions using
CBT, TF-CBT, SFBT, MI
techniques. Completes psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, and goal reviews as required by contract. Uses psycho-education with parents/legal guardians to build healthy attachments with their children and increase knowledge of developmental stages/needs of children/adolescents. Serves as an agency representative to community organizations whose primary effects are targeted toward meeting children’s needs. Works closely to identify the appropriate community services for children and their families including educational, social services, legal, medical and other needs. Reports child abuse as required and notifies supervisor. Must live in South Florida. Willingness to travel across Broward County when needed. Master Level
