Summer Camp Counselor Neighborhood Tennis 1007 South Greenway Drive, Coral Gables, FL 33134 Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and rewarding summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering personal growth through various programs. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have a strong commitment to their development. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during activities and throughout the camp day. Plan and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, nature exploration, and educational programs. Educate campers on teamwork, respect, and personal responsibility through structured group activities. Provide guidance and support to campers in developing new skills and building confidence. Foster a positive camp culture that promotes inclusivity, respect, and Christian values. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Experience Previous experience in childcare or working with children in settings such as daycare or camps is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles is beneficial. Skills in sports coaching or tutoring can enhance the camp experience for campers. Certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus. Experience with Christian counseling or values-based education is highly regarded. A passion for educating children and facilitating their growth through engaging activities is essential.
