Description ✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Sr. Night Youth Care Worker at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, Florida✨ Located near the white sand beaches of Northwest Florida in DeFuniak Springs – At Walton Academy, we provide residential treatment to improving the lives of at-risk Youth through mental health and substance abuse services. We offer skills and opportunities to our youth from Carpentry/Home Building Institute to Culinary Arts.
Pay:
Starting pay at $21 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period. Paid bi-weekly.

You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor, assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program. Night shift is required to do 10-minute checks on youth, assist with showers in the evening, light housekeeping duties, youth laundry, youth wake-up and monitor youth during breakfast in the dining hall. This senior positon will lead, train, and guide a group of 5 staff members.
To be considered you should:
Possess a High School Diploma or GED and 40 hours of college education OR have one-year experience working with youth in organized group activities and possess a valid Driver’s License.
Schedule:
Our Night Youth Care Workers currently work 4 nights per week. For Example – A Shift works 8pm to 8am Sunday through Wednesday. B Shift works 8pm-8am Wednesday through Saturday.
