As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will be responsible for supervising activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of all participants. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and fostering their growth through various activities. Duties Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Plan and lead recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and educational sessions. Provide support and mentorship to campers, encouraging personal development and teamwork. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and concerns. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Implement first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all campers. Foster a positive camp culture that promotes inclusivity, respect, and Christian values. Skills Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills: Tutoring experience to assist campers with academic enrichment. Sports coaching abilities to lead physical activities effectively. Experience working with students in various capacities (e.g., tutoring or mentoring). Babysitting or childcare experience to ensure comfort with young children. Knowledge of early childhood education principles to support developmental needs. Understanding of childhood development stages to foster appropriate interactions. Certification in First Aid or CPR to respond effectively in emergencies.
