Full Job Description Position Summary:
Positive Growth Inc. seeks a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to provide supervision, structure, and support to at-risk youth in a residential setting. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment while assisting youth with daily living skills and supporting their emotional and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will help implement agency standards that promote safety, well-being, and permanency, in alignment with Georgia state licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and supervision for youth in a structured residential environment Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries and consistent routines Implement program rules and support individualized goals Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, recreation, and education Model positive behavior and conflict resolution Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment Document youth behavior and progress accurately and in a timely manner Collaborate with team members to support treatment plans
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 25 years of age Previous experience working with youth (minimum 2 years), especially at-risk or high-risk populations Knowledge of adolescent development and trauma-informed care Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations Must meet all State of Georgia residential childcare licensing requirements Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check CPR/First Aid and CPI certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compassionate, patient, and dependable Experienced in youth services or behavioral support Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs Shifts for this position are from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m. One weekend a month is mandatory. (Availability of shifts will be based on need at the time you apply. Incumbents must be willing to work at more than one location if needed, but on the same campus.
