Youth Care Worker Position Available In Middlesex, Massachusetts

Salary:

$1000 / Week Amergis Healthcare has a fulfilling opportunity for a compassionate Youth Care Worker in Framingham, MA. This entry-level role offers a chance to gain skills and experience in human services and education, while working in an all male facility.

Pay:

$25/hour

Qualifications:

Fluency in the English language Experience as a coach/mentor working with at risk youth Must maintain professional and personal boundaries Must be comfortable using both physical and mechanical restraints

Schedule:

40 hours per week, multiple shifts available

Job Duties:

This position provides a great opportunity to positively influence a youth’s life by being a patient and supportive caregiver. The role is multifaceted and includes teaching, limit setting, advocating, coordinating care, and serving as a role model and mentor. Engage actively with youth in a participatory and positive, strength based manner. Use principles and practices of youth development and trauma informed care to create a safe and therapeutic environment. Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity. Foster the youth’s skills and interests and mentor their positive development. Implement program activities and maintain safe and effective program operations. Promote responsible and healthy decision-making among youth. Complete necessary paperwork and reporting requirements. Act in an ethical and professional manner, and maintain clear boundaries with youth, co-workers and supervisor(s). Implement applicable safety and emergency requirements including use of crisis prevention and de-escalation skills.
