Job Description About us:
Camp Greenleaves is a summer program for children and adults ages 5 and older with developmental disabilities.
What you will do:
The Junior Counselor position for Camp Green Leaves will assist the Senior Counselor in implementing daily activities for the campers. Job duties will include the responsibilities of organizing and implementing structured activities and games for campers, keeping the participants safe while having fun, and assisting directors and fellow counselors with daily housekeeping duties.
Work Schedule:
June-July (mornings & afternoons) & occasional trainings leading up to camp
Examples of Duties Camp Activities Support:
Assist with organizing and leading daily camp activities such as arts and crafts, music, sports, games, swimming, nature studies, and outdoor free time.
Field Trip Assistance:
Support and assist in the coordination of planned field trips, ensuring all campers have an enjoyable and educational experience.
Safety and Supervision:
Ensure that safety protocols are followed by all campers, maintaining a safe and fun environment.
Stay with the assigned group and campers at all times, providing supervision and guidance.
Instruction and Policy Adherence:
Follow directions from Senior Counselors and Directors to ensure smooth camp operations.
Enforce and adhere to policies, including those related to COVID-19, for the well-being of campers and staff.
