About Us:
Operated by Methodist Home for Children in partnership with the Department of Public Safety, our juvenile crisis and assessment centers provide a comprehensive juvenile assessment in a residential setting with the goal of matching the youth to the most appropriate services in his or her community. Centers serve Level II offenders between the ages of 10 and 17.
Job Description:
Youth Care Workers serve as the primary caregivers to youth being served by the Assessment Center. They are responsible for engaging youth in a variety of activities to enhance the assessment process. Duties include implementing direct care services according to individualized service plans, engaging youth in assessment activities, implementing a non-punitive environment that motivates youth, and modeling appropriate moral, ethical, and professional values for youth. Excellent training is provided!

- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate moral, ethical, and professional values.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years old
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NC driver’s license
- Successful completion of required screenings and trainings
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts.
Pay:
$15+ per hour, based on education and experience.
